SAMCC January 2007, Castle destroyed!!!

Part of the Annual Christmas Match is the Castle shoot.  Because of bad weather the Castle shoot was postponed to the January.

For the shoot a Castle is made out styrofoam sheets.



Small steel aiming plates  are hung on the castle and after the first volley Colin managed to hit the main tower plate



On the second vollley Don managed to take out the Main gate and Mike hit the North Tower.



After the 6th gun was fired in the Third volley it was up to our Number 7 gunner  John Davis's grandson Ryan to take the castle down.



Ryan carefully laid his gun in.



At the shot the castle exploded, a direct hit on  the magazine !!



Gunner Ryan's  great shooting reduced the castle to rubble!!!

Nope just the annual Castle shoot. Castle gotta have a flag doesn't it  and that one was handy.

Part of the after match meeting was discussing the clubs participation in the The Swartkop Challenge

No we don't drag our cannons up the hill, we start the match and of course after word we also demonstrate proper clelebatory techniques.
