Hi all, pardon if this is a re-hash of an old idea. I was looking for a youth-style gun for my 8-year-old granddaughter to use when I came across a collapsible AR15-style stock made by ATI. It practically mounted itself on my .17HMR Sportster. It instantly collapses down to a LOP of only 10 inches, then just as quickly extends out to 14 inches, with several stops in between. Kayla and I can shoot the same gun together and we're having a blast. The bull barrel is a bit much for her, so I may pick up a .22 Sportster with the lighter barrel to reduce the overall weight, but realistically, at her size, this is pretty much a bench gun.
The original Monte Carlo stock from the Sportster is now on my Sidekick, giving me a better cheek weld for scope use, and it's only a matter of time before the original synthetic Sidekick stock winds up on my 12 gauge turkey gun to replace the god-awful "wood" that it now wears.
And the picture of a sweet little girl happily shooting what appears to be a "black rifle".....priceless!
