On my 83 in .454 Casull, exactly .452 for both, and anything bigger won't chamber without force.

Well...My 454 has 0.452 throats and bore.

On my 44sp, I had a issue.  I bought it new from FA and it had 0.432 bore and 0.430 throats.  Not a good combo, the barrel would lead with mild loads.  I called FA after I had made sure I measured everything correctly (used a proper bore/throat slugging kit).  They had me send it in.  Bob Baker called me and we discussed the issue (I was a bit surprised by that one)  He had a new hand picked barrel installed that was measured for bore dia and the throats opened up a tad.  The throats are now 0.05 thou over bore...

FA gets their barrels from a supplier, so having a off size barrel is a possibility.  All I can say is FA did what was needed to make me happy..
