NEF Pistol ?????

    I own a few different rifles and pistols including a Contender and NEF Handi.  One of my passions has been one gun that can do anything.  My Contender is versitle as a pistol but limited as a rifle.  I've thought about selling it and getting an Encore but the frame weighs alot more.  In addition the TC barrels cost about $250 a piece.  Last night while doing some ballistic research something dawned on me that's got my mind a little twisted.  Do the make a pistol grip for the Handi Rifle?  That would be a Handi Pistol and a hoot to shoot!  With the barrels being as inexpensive as they are you could aford to cut and crown them.  The varied calibers would make for a life time of experimentation not to mention the wildcats you could build.  It would also make a great entry level silhouette pistol. The only fly in the ointment is the way the grip would attach to the frame but a pulg in the grip could remidy that ::)  So what do you think A handi rifle becomes a handi pistol 8)

Freezer,

I hope that you are not contemplating turning a Handi Rifle into a pistol.  That would be a sure way to get to meet a lot of the ATF's finest and to get an all expense paid stay at Club Fed.  The gun is sold as a rifle and you can't legally change it into a handgun.  As far as NEF making a single shot pistol, I have not heard of any talk about this but it would be sort of cool if they would consider it.

Yeap, but it still shows the potential for sales if NEF ever were to make one.

you could turn a handi into a pistol, but only after 9 months of batf paperwork and about $1500 in fees and licencing. i knew a guy who did that with an eaa o/u shotgun. turned out nice but i dont think it was worth the $$$$. probably costs more in fees now too.
