I was going to keep it to myself, but I figure that I don't really need tp get them for myself after all.  If you look on ebay right now under nef stock, you will find there are 3 cinnamon, and 3 cam laminated thumbhole stocks.  They don't have fore arms with them though.  I know some guys were looking for them, so hopefully that will help some people find them cheaper than going through boyds.

yea i saw those, but they are stock only, no forearm, they say it will be a while before they get forearms, that might mean, as in mexico "some day maybe"
is the Boyd a good stock?

The forends can be purchased direct from H&R, checkered or uncheckered, the one on my thumbhole Ultra is the same.

Yes, it's the same, RR had them in stock in .223, .243 and fluted 22-250 Ultra Varmints, also in 12ga and 20ga USH.

Those stocks are new, may be a while before they get em on the Boyd's site, give em a call and see if they're available and how much they are. I was gonna just buy a USH and sell the rest of it to get one, but decided to just buy one on ebay, I'm a real addict when it comes to camo lam stocks, the thumbholes are really even more so!!

You know Tim, these things have some kind of draw to them.  I said I wasn't going to do it, I told myself I wasn't going to do it, but the more I looked at it, the more it called my name.  Besides, it was only my "fun" money in the Paypal account....oh well.....you only live once right? ;D  There are the two that are still up for bids, and there is a cinnamon laminate at the bottom for buy it now.

Amos, I feel like I deceived you a little in the PM about those stocks, I was gonna wait to see how much they went for, but when the one went to $73, and then one of the "buy it nows" was gone, I couldn't hold off any longer!! ::) I suppose they'll be offered by Boyd's for less now that we bought em!!

Great minds think alike.  I wasn't going to post that they were there, went back and forth a little whether or not I needed them, or if I should share the info with everyone else or be greedy.  Ultimately though, I figured that they cost less than half of what was posted if you bought them from boyds direct.  I didn't want to end up regretting not getting them like those red laminates the other day, or the bumble bee stocks a few months ago. You're probably right though, knowing my luck, they will get 30 of them in for the same cost as a normal laminate stock ::).  Oh well...I got mine ;D

dunno, I assume they're the same, I'll let you know when I get it next week and compare to the cinnamon's I'm replacing.  I'm sure Quick or somebody can compare the one's they have, I would almost bet Quick would post a pic if you asked him nicely.... ;D

My cinnamon thumbhole stock on the 243 Ultra Varmint is the same as the cinnamon laminates on the Ultras, I expect the nutmeg and forest to be the same as the cinnamon and camo lams, just a different name for the same colors. I haven't got the one off ebay yet, I sent him a money order, so it will be a while yet before I get it. They're the same ones on the RR H&Rs.

I saw the walnut one, might have to get one of those too, then order a TDC forend and hope it matches! ;D

i went to BOYD'S on Internet, they told me BOBS guns had them, BOB has not heard of them, but he is a dealer for BOYD'S. Went back to BOYD'S they say look in shotgun stocks (can't find i say)
they say look on page 24 of on line catalog ( can't find on-line cat.) I told them not to worry, would go back to e-bay or GUNSTOCKS INC. they have theirs where idiots like me can find them.
they don't know if or when they will make fore-ends
Sorry guys thought i had found something

I got mine in the mail today!! ;D  I have to say that it is a lot nicer than I was expecting, and slimmer in some areas where I thought it might be bigger(around the thumbhole).  Overall the finish looks perfect on mine, and it even had a Pachmeyer Decellerator recoil pad on it, so if you were to take a regular laminate stock, and add the pad, it would be about the same cost($85).  I've included a few pictures so you can see what the thumbholes look like.

Amos, did it come with a stock bolt? I measured the one that came on the .243 Ultra T-hole, it's 2" pan hex head, was gonna pick one up if I need to.

Thanks for the pics. ;)
