I bought some Wolf brand Large Rifle Primers and have a concern. I prime with a Lee hand primer, and noticed that the Wolf primers take more, a LOT more, force to seat. This is in once fired .270 Winchester Brass, with the primer pockets thoroughly cleaned and de-burred. Some of the Wolf primers actually flattened slightly from the seating pressure.
I seated some Winchester Primers in the same brass and they seated easily.
I measured the Wolf primers and they are .0006 to .001 larger diameter than either the Winchester or CCI primers I have.
Is it safe to load with these primers? Or should I just try and return them.
Thanks
