Cartridge carrier question.
« on: July 04, 2008, 03:27:07 AM »
I know this will sound like a newby question but I don't care.  When I see pictures of your Handis on this forum a lot of them have a cartridge carrier around the stock.  Sounds like a decent idea for a single shot but I have no clue as to where to order one.  A five rounder would be just the ticket for Whitetails so if you guys could tell me where to get them I would appreciate it.  Thanks - John

Wal-Mart, Cabela's, Bass Pro, Sportsman's Warehouse, almost any sporting goods store.    I got one at Sportsman's Warehouse and the other at an Army PX.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

Mine just barely holds a 22 Hornet, other than sewing it up a bit, anybody have any ideas on fitting smaller cartridges?

I found an Allen Rifle Cartridge Holder #206 in a local gun shop, and it is the best I have tried.  It holds 9 cartridges and is good and snug on the Handi stock.  .22-250 and every other rifle and pistol cartridge stays put.  The guy only had one, and I'm trying to get 5 more.  I emailed Allen, and never got a reply.  Their phone number is 1-800-876-8600.  I'm going to call Tony's Guns Monday to find out if he can get more.  For iceing on the cake, Tony had it priced at $3.50!!!  Pete
