New Hunter
« on: October 25, 2008, 03:13:03 PM »
Took my girlfriend Kim on her first big game hunt today. She was using my 357 max with a 200 gr WLNGC.
She got this mule deer buck around 10am. She is hooked now. :)

We live in Edgewood. Its 20 miles east of Albuqerque. She got the deer on the east side of the Manzano mountians in unit 14. They only give 25 tags for that area.

Way to go.  Nice deer.  About what range was she shooting?  People all the time are asking about the effective range of the .357 Mag and .357 MAX.

I don't know about that, corn-fed whitetails are pretty tasty.   ::)
