Hello everyone-----I was fortunate to come across what I thought was a good deal on a NIB classic carbine 45 LC. Everything looks good on the rifle --
locks up tight,no wiggle, sights and scope mount holes seem to line up-----it looks and feels great. I havent been to the range yet,but hope to assemble
dies and components soon to get started.
I would like to avoid putting on a scope, but my eyes refuse to focus on open sights anymore---- I had the opportunity to look through peep sights
on a friends '03 Springfield and I could focus fine through them.
My question concerning the sights--- Do the peep sights really help with weak eyes or was that me hoping I was seeing better? Also, after checking the FAQ's concerning sights, I think I might try the Williams WGRS sight. How do you guys that use them like them? Also, I'm still not sure about the front sight.
Did you have any luck keeping the factory sight or have to change it out also?
I would appreciate any input or info that ya'll can share.
Thanks
David
