I use this front sight .450
rear sight williams FP
rifle 38-55
I can get out to 500 yards and about the 1/2 mark on the rear sight adjustment more then enough then I need
I would check out e bay they sell there for 12.99 under thompson center

IMHO, a small gold bead, as sold by Lyman or Marbles. If you do more 'target' shooting than hunting the globe with the inserts is very good, but for hunting that globe tends to obscure things for me.

Alrighty then, i have some things to try.
Surly my local gun store will have some screws, he builds custom rifles.
I like the globe looks but i also think it would be a problem hunting.

I just got off the phone with parts as to getting The shorter sight. He seemed to think I was looking for the carbine sight. Is that the shorter globe sight or is it a blade sight?

The Carbine sight is a Marbles blade, .570" IIRC.

Just go with Buffalo Arms, Track of the Wolf, or Brownells for the Lyman 17A, .404 height.
Obviously the H&R CSRs aint got a clue.
