Author Topic: Tim's got a new rifle....from us. New PIC added. (Read 5136 times)

Tim, Quickdtoo, went to Wayne York's today for something else and picked up a new Handi. It's a custom 6X45 done by Wayne York. It and the accompanying plaque are inscribed with "from all of us at GBO" It's a thank you to Tim for his years of selfless help on this forum, assisting all of us with our problems. Bill Graham, Graybeard, granted Wayne advertizing for his work. Thank you, Bill. Any of you that want to also say thank you to Tim and Bill can do so by kicking into the server fund to reimburse Bill for his costs. Just mention "Tim's Rifle" when you do.

Pictures of the rifle, plaque and presentation will be posted as soon as I get them from Wayne.

This was a project that took almost a year to do, coordinating between H&R, Wayne, Bill, and myself. I had a lot of support from members here, but obviously couldn't post anything to tip Tim off.

Thanks to all of you for your advice and help.

Sweet...Way to go Pete...I talked to Tim this morning and when he told me he was headed to Wayne's to get his 45-90...I almost crapped..Didn't realize it the rifle was done...Way to go my friend..

Way to go Pete!!! I know how hard and long you have worked on this buddy, the hours and frustrations you put in would tax a saint. And I have heard that you may in reality be a just a cut or two below a saint, so I don't know how you did it.
To think that a secret like this could be kept amongst a bunch of blabbermouths like us for such a long time shows anything is possible.
I think a nice contribution to the server fund for Bill's and Wayne's help in this and thier work towards bring it to fruition would be a great thing. I Also want to thank you again Pete, as the initiator, instigator, originator of this entire project and for your tireless and selfless work and great financial stake in it as well.
Well done buddy...

And a special congratulations to the man of the hour, our own Tim, aka Quickdtoo, for what he has meant and done for this site as well as for the help and friend he has been to everyone of us..Here - Here Tim!!!

Wayne called last Friday and wanted to check with me on the 45-90 barrel one more time, so I just decided to head over there with my wife Kelly and see his new shop and visit a little with him face to face and check out the donor barrel which is a 26" 338-06 with a chamber that's too deep. Little did I know what a surprise he had in store for me!!!

You all have heard of Sleepless in Seattle, right? Well, right now I'm Speechless in Vancouver!!!

I just don't know what to say, I called Pete earlier today from Pendleton to thank him personally, and I really didn't know, still don't, what to say that seemed sufficient to express my surprise and gratitude. It's just an awesome thing that he and you all have organized and made come true. I just don't know what to say other than THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. Here are pics of the rifle, Wayne's work and the plaque he presented to me.
