H&R Website Frustration
« on: January 18, 2011, 05:19:56 PM »
I'm not sure why the accessory portion of the web site is not better set up?
I'm looking for a forearm and all I see listed is 4 butt stocks and guessing these are just the butt stocks.
Handi-Rifle™ Stocks (pistol grip)
Part # Description Price
S02164 Synthetic, recoil pad $37.00

How in blazes do you buy a forearm from the main source without knowing a part number? The above is not a complete set is it?
There doing themselves a disservice not having a better accessory page.
It's frustrating. I have my boxed receiver ready to ship out tomorrow for two barrles from the accessory program and want an extra
forearm. I would think in the long run it would be easier and more cost effective to have part number on the web rather than a CS
person call, asking what you want.

Most of the part numbers are on the retail parts page of the FAQs, if that doesn't help, call em and ask, match it up by the model number of the complete rifle that has the stock you want.

   hi Pete!!
I am just trying to help as much as I am allowed. I  am a big Handi fan myself.
I was trained back in Gardner Ma. and moved here with the company. At H&R Gardner, repairmen did not have access to computers like we do here in Ilion NY. So I was not able to help back then. I try to monitor GBO as mush as I can in between repairs during my breaks.

Brian, Thanks for the reply. What stock options are available now besides plain wood and syn?
Are there any Lam (Camo - Cinn) forends,. I see Lam thumbholes are still offered.
I hoping but not holding my breath on GrayGhost Lam or BumbleBee Lam coming back into style  ::)
Big Green should appoint someone to post a monthly accessory list here with part numbers.
A sales booster for sure.
Thanks again -gary

Brian,
I'm new to this forum, but Remington & NEF/H&R, are 2 of my favorites. I hope that the powers that be, appreciate your enthusiasm, and dedication. I hope they realize the advantage of a employee who helps like you do. I would have never known the BP barrels were available. I've been shopping for a used Huntsman or Sidekick for the longest.  I was even contemplating purchasing a CVA Wolf, which is similar.
I saw a couple of your posts in the barrel accessories thread. I am impressed, it's great to have someone that knows what's going on, and willing to share the information. I plan on ordering the 50 cal MZ barrels, soon as I can scrape up the cash. If you don't mind a question, how do I let them know that I want a MZ barrel with a scope base mounted. I also want the iron sights included, for the option of having the ability to remove the scope base, and use the sights when needed, to comply with different state regulations. In addition to the barrel order form, should I just write a letter explaining what I want? Thanks again.

Thank You Tee!!

To you're question. just send in your stock & frame, with a letter requesting  a F50M barrel installed along with a scope base part# FR01331. the barrel already comes with it's own forend, ram rod, breech plug, breech plug wrench,  5 primer carriers, and sights.

Brian, Wow thanks for that update.. You are the man and thank you for sharing this information.
I just shipped my receiver today for a Talo 357mag and 35Rem in barrel accessory program.
Grey Lams in stock at this time  :o  :o  :o Outstanding! Would those be straight stock, Monte, or thumb hole?  ???
With this new information you provided, I"ll now just need to call customer service after I receive my order or repair number for one of those rare birds to be included. See, your making Big Green money already. Your not undercover boss are you?
Ilion needs more of you to go around and I think I can say your now a GB ambassador.

Thanks Tim. I'll be calling Ilion on this new development soon. I've drooled for to many years after seeing pic's of your and CW's gray lams.
Now a bigger conundrum is what caliber to put it on?  ;D -g

Brian: I just wanted to say thank you for going that extra mile for us handi guys and gals. I really do hope that your bosses can appreciate the fact that your willingness to give the info that we need and want (so we can BUY more stocks, barrels and rifles we want) makes a damn big difference in the service aspect. My daddy was a Ford Dealer and he always told me "son, you can buy a ford anywhere. It's your willingness to provide the service to the customer that they want and expect that brings them back." For my old man-- well, he was pretty smart. Keep up the good work, youngun'. your company has a diamond in your efforts. God Bless.

Here's a pic of the Infinity Youth stock set, appears to be the old style syn with a new style checkered forend.
