Thank you, for the kind words .......................
A few details, for those who may be interested.
I like the narrower 6-48 optional stem, ILO the standard/larger "Marlin" size, since it leaves much more "meat" around the stem, in the safety/plug material.
The safety and/or a relpacement plug is only pinned in place, so I feel that the thicker material left, the more stabile the mount will be.
The issue LoPro locking ring could be thinner, so the aperture would mount even lower, if only slightly. Every little it helps, sometimes - especially in this app.
Since the lock ring is machined on it's bottom face for a friction O-ring (installed at manufacture), I thinned mine by about 1/4th it's thickness, from the top, touching up the grinder marks with cold blue.
For those concerned about a lack of windage adjustment in the LoPro - I've found that not much is needed, since the safety hole is directly over the bore C/L, siting the LoPro the same.
While sometimes the front sight DOES have to be moved slightly to achieve zero, I've never had to move one more than 1/16" to one side or the other, to do so.
That's not to say that an end user can't take the opportunity to make the front sight more visible, or to their liking, and switch it out to some sort of gold/ivory bead - or simply apply a drop of bright paint to the rear face.
