Choate Pistol Grip installed
« on: July 30, 2011, 12:37:13 PM »
Decided I had to put one of these on my 410 just for kicks.  $23 from Midway.  Looks ugly as sin with the wood forend, will have to either paint my forend black or get a synthetic one.  Haven't shot it yet but will try to later this week since I have alot of 410 slugs and buckshot laying around.

Total length is about 31 inches with the stock 26 in. barrel.  Big warning on the grip says to not use with a barrel shorter than 22 inches or you will be below the legal overall length.

Is that grip hollow? I got to looking at a spare Survivor stock and this grip looks just like the grip on it. I am doing a Huntsman ML pistol build and think what I am going to do is just cut my Survivor stock down to the grip. Kurt

It's probably made by choate.and is exactly the same. If you're not in a hurry you could sell the survivor stock and buy the pistol grip and be $10.00 ahead.
PROUD REDNECK CONSERVATIVE

I'd much rather be remembered for being a great shot than having the most expensive gun

Yes it is hollow.  It appears to be the same as the pistol grip portion of the survivor stock.
