A good friend, and fine target shot with any of the 'old' standard sights, acquired a SS Sgl. Six with some kind of high viz front and an 'express' shallow V rear. It shoots wonderfully, and easily, to point of aim even when done back to back with typical undercut Patridge type sights on the same course of fire. I should mention that the express rear does have that center white line, you just put that glowing ball atop the line and shoot. I am a traditionalist, so it 'looks' a little 'off', but if it is holes in the right place under various light conditions, this seems to be a winner.
