You can drop the hammer extension down and grind some off the spur.  I generally try to use medium Burris Zee rings when I can.  I suppose if I did what I just suggested, I might even get away with low rings.  I think Tim has done this and it is probably in the FAQs.

What Pete said, lots on scope ring info and hammer mods info in the FAQs. Choosing a scope that's Handi friendly is the best choice, fixed power or variable scopes with a small power ring and/or ocular bell make a big difference as does being able to mount the scope (fore or aft a little) so it doesn't interfere with the hammer, the scope base makes a big difference in that respect, the Weaver #82 with the unusable flat spot at the rear really a poor choice unless you take advantage of it and mount a small scope so it's entirely forward of the hammer, all of this is covered in the FAQs.

I like my Leupold scopes and with them I am able to use LO rings form a number of manufacturers. Burris, Leupold, Weaver, Warne all work for me in LO. Only a couple needed the trimming to the hammer Peter suggests. But even that is easy, quick and with a dab of cold blue, invisible to detect.

I think you get the idea.  :o ;)  ::)
