Silver bear or wolf 308?

Has anyone used silver bear or wolf ammuition in their handis? I just can't afford plinking with remingtions or winchesters any more. Silver bear has them in soft points ( 147 grain) and wolf I think is fmj only. So, who's used them?

I have used the Silver Bear in my 30-06 Handi. Accuracy was ok for plinking, but the cases would not eject. Knocked out easily with a cleaning rod. Just an aggravation.

just picked up some silver bears for my 223 to see how they shoot , don't have a 308 so no help there --sorry

good to hear about the cases sticking , i'll remember to take a rod with me to the range .

:P  I don't see that earlier...was it edited? Oh no matter.
I have only used Wolf and Silver Bear in my 223 Ultra and SKS. Haven't had a misfire yet out of any of them. Not the cleanest ammo,  nor the most accurate, but tons of fun to plink with. And the price is easy on the wallet thats for sure.

silverbear .223 HP averaged about 2 moa with no stuck cases

wolf .223 55gr fmj average about 3- 3 1/2 moa with no stuck cases at all from a .223 handy

Wolf .308 averaged about 2" -3" moa, with 2-3 stuck cases per box of 20 rds.

Thanks guys, now I wonder why so many cases are sticking? maybe the silver bear and wolf is made to 7.62-51 specifications instead of .308 winchester.

Bought a couple of boxes of Silver Bear 30-06 here at Cheaper than Dirt.  In my Handi 30-06 they are extremely inaccurate.  At 100 yrds I get 1 or 2 out of a box of 20 hit the target with at least 1 of them keyholing.  It's amazing the bullet traveling sideways at that velocity and distance.  I might try salvaging some components if only the cases didn't stick and the bullets didn't go sideways.  Pretty sad in my rifle, that's for sure.

Sticking cases

The cases stick because they are steel which doesn't retract like brass does.Plus they have a lacquer coating which doesn't help the situation any.
All that stuff does ok in an SKS or AK but results in a commercial rifle which has much closer chamber tolerances are just not satisfactory.
