I LOST ANOTHER ONE
« on: April 11, 2010, 02:25:04 AM »
Steven O'brian Jones.
He died Monday---he actually died in Viet Nam but didn't know it.
Drinking, agent orange and life caused the death.
We had a no-strings relationship. The best. We had not seen each other in years then one of us would call and it was as though we were together again.
It hurts but it is what it is.
I loved Steve and the stories would fill a book.
Blessings
TEXAS, by GOD

William

The sadest part is that as we get older , more of our friends pass away , yet life goes on for now .  :'(

Ever since our kids got out on thier own i have gone back to Arlington every other year.  Last two times they bought plane ticketd for my wife and I. (Don't trust my driving???)  This year they are going with us and I'm buying tickets for us all.  Our family has 11 relatives interned there.  Afterwards I am going to take them through the Smithsonian.  Next year I am going to a reunion in Texas with a family that has welcomed me at thier place ever since Pep wrote them about me when i was in the Army with him.  Pep hunted with my dad, the last time dad hunted.  Pep stopped off in 1967 to hunt pheasant with dad on the way to Oakland and overseas movement.  He bought the farm in Dak To and was one of those never recovered.
