Question about Libya war
« on: June 22, 2011, 09:09:59 AM »
I thought the NATO reason for starting the war was to set up a no fly zone. How come theyre bombing stuff on the ground?

Power went to Obamas' head!
Look at the way he behaves, maybe we should call him his royal highness!  :P

Becuase enforcing a no fly zone only does not allow the expedient taking of oil or monies from Libya for France and England. Bombing ground targets will make this much quicker. When the Muslim Brotherhood or Al Queada get set up in Libya with our help we can then fund these terrorist organiztions so we can later fight against them. Maybe after another 10 years of war the economy might come back.

TM7,
You hit it on the head.

I don't like Ghadafi but he did cause Libya to prosper and not become a welfare state.
Ghadaffi does had some bad things about him, I think everyone can agree with that. The average Lybian never went without food or power in thier homes. Can you say that will be the same if he is ousted.

Ghadaffi was actually becoming more pro west. He could see what radicals were doing in other countries. I do not have a clue who could replace him and bring stability back to that nation. Stable governments are good for the economy.

What I want to know is where are all of the hypocrites that were calling Bush a war criminal? Why is Obama not a war criminal? Where are all of the jerk celebs crying "Not in our name" Where are all the vocal doves now that the new liberal messiah has not only failed to end the 2 wars he promised to end but has also got us into a 3rd war? Are wars initiated by liberals "just" somehow?
Hi NSA! Can you see how many fingers I am holding up?
