Anyone put a pretty custom stock on a Savage rimfire?

...or other inexpensive rimfire.

Seems like it would be a cool low-risk project for a beginner.

Juweek or so back I was huntin for a 22Mag Marlin. I ran across two such rifles!

M93's IIRC!  They where costly $4-500 used, but both had full sized stocks and nicely figured walnut!

This started life as a Savage Mk II FV, a pretty inexpensive rifle but most are very good shooters. The stock and metal work are built from leftovers from other projects. Even the finish was leftover. It's designed for killing little steel animals.

I love leftovers especially KFC,,   That is a good looking rifle, I think I could warm that leftover up for you,  GREAT LOOKING STOCK. I bet that thing will EAT those steel animals.

Maybe, but a reason to have tried it would be to dip your toe in the custom stock pool without dropping a wad and finding out you weren't any good at it. I assumed we would see pics of some first attempts that turned out pretty good. Hope we do.
