22 Rimfire barrel on Handi ?

I have several of the Handi rifles and wondered if the 22 LR or Mag barrels with mount and fire off that centerfire frame?

They'll mount, but won't fire since the firing pin hit's in the center instead of the rim where the priming is located, hence the name rimfire.  ;) The only rimfire barrels that will work on a centerfire frame are the long discontinued Versa Paks which have an offset bore to align the rim with the centerfire firing pin.

shinjin, it doesn't hurt to look around.  I recently bought a Versa-Pack .22/.410, for my grandson, here in the classifieds.  They're few and far between, but they do come up once in a while.
