The ranch is located in a flood plane next to one of Florida’s great rivers. When I moved back home and bought the house florida was in a drought. But now 9 years later we are at flood stage. I’ve been getting tree stands, feeders, & trail cams up and working and using my mule to get around the ranch. Have regularly been running in water over the top of the front bumper, about 3’ deep. Just put it in 4 WD lock in the differentia, and select lowest gear it keeps churning through the toughest mud & water.
The mule is a very well though out model. The air intake for the carb is on the top of the roll bars about 6’ abouve ground level. As long as you don’t let the motor stall it keeps running. If it does stall, with those big low pressure tires it almost floats and a couple guys can easily puts it out to dryer land. Let it sit a Minuit or two and she cranks right back up.
