Another greenhorn

Afternoon, Gentlemen.  New guy here, from Iowa.  Retired from the workforce in 2019, Industrial maintenance electrician, but non-union shop, so did it all.  Mechanical, hydraulics, electrical.....everything.
Born in '57, 4 years Navy aviation service, and 17 years Iowa Army National Guard.  Have had an interest in firearms for many decades, but recently developed an interest in black powder, and cannons in particular. 
Would like to build a signal "thundermug", and perhaps a breech-loading swivel gun, but that's for a differnet area of the forum.

Anyway, thanks for having me over, and maybe I can bring a bottle next time.

there was a good many of the cannon
people here, but i think the powder
pinch has slowed some of them down
(maybe)

I'd like to see more of that kind of
posts, although I don't do any of it
myself

I'd like to know what all the cannon
people are doing for powder
