Is "big green" back ?
« on: September 27, 2024, 02:33:06 PM »
Remington ammunition in Loneoak, AR has been sold.  They were bought by Vista.  Vista is not just another "bean counter" firm, being as they also
    own Federal, CCI and Speer.

Thyey claim they are bringing the quality up and developing new products.

I am a rimfire fan, so I am pleased to hear that !  I use other brands, but clearly, CCI is my standby.  I used some Remington back in the 1950
through the 1970s, but then, Rem seemed to be a bit careless with their rimfire cartridges.

I suspect if anyone can get them squared away...it would be CCI.. aided by federal.

Meanwhile, Remington is announcing somne new rounds..

The "Ranch Hand" is supposed to work in old guns, guns that have repeating problems etc.

They mention a new "Golden hunter". No, not just the old Golden bullet, but a full 40 gr hollowpoint..which they claim nicely mushrooms, even
from handguns.  I will be trying them again........
