We (America) apparently were right hand drive at the start

  I found this photo of a 1914 Stutz Bearcat with RHD. I also found  aphoto of a 1920 with RHD..

  Was it Stutz only, or were all like trhat ?  If so, when did we switch?

I believe stage coaches were driven from the right with shotgun rider on the left. Dunno for sure but bet most wagons and buckboards were also driver on right. I'd guess Henry Ford changed the side to drive from first.

Could be that most people are right handed, thus easier to operate changing gears and operating things.
