No one has mentioned the father's rights here.  It takes both to produce a new human being, even in egg form.  The woman just carries the child until it is ready to breathe air.  Also, it is scientifically proven the fertilized egg is a new life, only 50% part of the mother.

As mentioned, in my county girls can get free birth control at their local health departments, so there is no excuse to have an abortion.  Having sex is a choice.  Getting free birth control is a choice.  Choices have consequences, if she gets pg, then she should be required to give up the baby for adoption if she doesn't want it.  Problem is there is a huge demand for baby organs and abortion doctors will provide them.

Oh, and I live in a so called poor state, and girls can get free birth control.  Now they give them some type of time release shots instead of pills, (in case they loose them or "forget" to take them).  I think they even provide free condoms from school nurses.  There is no excuse for an unwanted pregnancy.

One idea, that Newt Gingrich proposed about 20 years ago was to issue every student in Jr. high and high school a computer.  Have boys and girls go to school separately every other day for in classroom work, and issue homework that has to be done on the computer on they stay at home days.  This would keep from having to build new schools, and have smaller classrooms so the teacher can have more control.  Then it would also keep boys and girls from having too much time socializing together during school and potentially avoid a lot of unwanted pregnancies.  Didn't go over well, but kids did stay home and worked online during Covid and home schoolers do this now.  Public schools are now offering home schooling courses for kids with problems, or being bullied, or they are sick a lot.  Some are very remote or having a lot of problems on school buses.

There are a lot of ideas and free things girls can do to keep from getting pregnant.  Also, my idea is for the girl to have the baby and identify the father through DNA.  Father, even if a teen, has to provide child support for 18 years at least.  He would have to get a job, or if going to college or trade school, provide 18 years of payment to the mother or to the child.  This would keep boys more honest if they forced them to do this.  Even if the child is given up for adoption by the mother, the father would have to pay the adoptive parents.  More pressure on boy instead of all on the girl.

It would be best if those who cannot afford a child would keep their legs crossed than their men their pants zipped shut.

Whoring around is no longer looked down upon by society so that is a dead topic, but perhaps if the term bastard child would be used as it once was that would give grief where deserved.

Affects te chldren?    They are, what they are, if they feel the stigma, maybe they will be more careful as adults.

You said "whoring around is no longer looked down upon by society"..  My Christian (and personal) belief says that I may Have to " live IN the
world but I need not be OF the world"!

But of course, that is a choice we all must make.
Sadly , women, and  a LOT of society, does not think children need a father, BUT, too many men are doing nothing to really change that attitude.
I did not want children and I never produce a bastard child; my other half cannot keep a child to term, and that is one reason we ended up togerther.

A goodly number of ladies I dated said I would make a good father; I would not have abandoned child, and it would have know I cared for it, but I guarantee you that, that child, by my general attitude . would have known I would have rather it did not exist.

I grew up in a family where true feeling were not unknown, we were love greatly but I remember when my Mom said we wee all an accident. 8)

Your leading statement is correct of course, with one or two small corrections...  Some women, and Some
members of society don't think a child needs a father.

Yes, a child can exist and grow without a father present in their life, but that puts much more pressure on the mother.  Still, a father is critical for
    proper development.

That also holds true for a father who doesn't act like a man... a boy needs an example to emulate.  If the father is too wimpy..the son will either
turn out the same way, or start ignoring his father.

On the other hand, if the father is abusive and beats mother..the boy picks up the habit. Sociologists report that such a practice is passed down
    through generations.
It is gratifying that you have found the  mate and answer for your life.. enjoy that dfor the rest of your life.
If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)
