Title: Trigger lock time?
Post by: coop2564 on September 03, 2007, 03:52:19 PM
My Bar safari classic seems to have a very long trigger lock time. From the time it breaks till I hear the click almost seems delayed compared to my other guns. Anyone else have this problem?

Browning's answer to the Flintlock?

Do you suppose there is old grease or dirt causing the firing pin to drag?

I don't know for sure. Just bought it haven't stripped it yet. But I had a snap cap and was just trying to get use to the trigger( It has a very good trigger break 3.5#). And notice that it was slow.  When I was shooting I didn't notice it and it shot good groups. But compared to my bolts its much slower. Had both my sons try it they agreed it was slower. May run it by a local smith and let him have a look see.
