Title: vapor trail
Post by: GRIMJIM on September 10, 2008, 11:58:13 AM
Anyone have experience with their strings? I had a guy at work reccomend them but I don't know myself. I ordered a set (cable and string) for my matthews legacy for 76 bucks. My local pro will mount them for me and reset up my bow for 35 dollars. I guess I'll see how it goes.

Haven't used them personally. The guy at my pro shop custom makes my strings when I need them.

Grimjim, Bows are getting so expensive that I've always stayed with what came with my Matthews LX?

Yes they are great strings.

Jared (the owner) makes them, for a custom string maker they are very reasonable and have the best customer service.
Call him and ask him anything about his strings, I use them on my target bows and have a couple years on this set and see no wear or stretching at all.
He has a web site to see what he has and the colors that are available.

They were a lot more reasonable than I was expecting. 76 bucks for string and cable. The guy at my local shop redid my bow for 40 bucks. I'm not too happy with the new peep sight though. After firing a few shots the string settled and the peep is almost turned 180 degrees. It goes straight at full draw but I thought he would fire a few shots to settle the string before he mounted the peep. Not that big of a deal I guess but I'm anal about things like that.
