Title: Modifications to Ruger No. 3 lever??
Post by: mannyrock on May 21, 2011, 11:18:29 AM
Dear Guys,

In reading through past posts regarding the Ruger No. 3, a few people have mentioned that they had gunsmiths modify the levers on their rifles.  They didn't explain what was done, however, or post any pictures.  I got the impression that they reshaped the lever somehow. Or perhaps shortened the end of the lever.

Does anyone have any idea what types of modications are being done to the levers?  Any pictures?

  Thanks, Mannyrock

Is there something wrong with the lever?

Just a guess, but one reason they would have had to alter the lever, would be after fitting a pistol grip, No.1 stock to it.
No need to alter it otherwise, CRASH87

I hate to see that.  If Ruger would bring the #3 back I believe it would sell.
