I just bought one used for $125.00. Pretty good accuracy. I was getting 1 inch groups at 50 yards, but it was 2 inches to the right and 8 inches high with 125 grainers. With 154 brown bear I was still 2 inches to the right and only 3 inches high at 50. Still with about 1 inch groups.
Going to put a nikon scope on it tomorrow and see if It will shoot better. Did not have to much problem with the hard primers. shot the 154's with no problem. 2 ftf with the 125's.

well, the scope helped a lot. Now I am getting around 1/2 inch groups. that is as long as I don't shoot more than 2 rounds. It starts to string as the barrel gets warmer.

Pretty common with most break action firearms. Heat sensitivity is part of the design typically. With my Handi Rifles, I put two of my daughters rubber bands from her braces on the barrel stud and it kinda cheapo floats the barrels. Guys in the handi section up above use o-rings too. ;) I was shocked how many I can put down the bore of my newest barrel, the .223 heavy, without issue. It's super stiff though having .8" at barrel tip with only a .224 hole down the center. ;)

Shoots great! But no luck with the cheap ammo(won't dimple primer enough). Under 1 inch groups with remington cl.

My groups were with brown bear ammo. I only had problems with 2 rounds out of 75 that would not fire.

"Only" two out of 75? Guess thats not bad unless someone is shooting at you or you are about to be eaten. Larry

I bought one a few years ago and never really played with it until this year. Initially, I was totally disappointed but after sorting through cases (it likes small primers) and cast bullets, the one I bought is truely a keeper. First of all, the bore slugs at .308. I'm not sure who has checked their guns but mine is .308 and I slugged it twice to make sure. Second, the Lyman 311359 works wonders in this gun. I shoot them as cast at around 1,000 fps and lube with Johnson's paste wax and add gas checks. Scoped, I can keep five shots in a quarter at 50 yards with a pinch of Unique.

Just got a Rossi 7.62x39 Christmas week ,it will not shoot russian steel ammo ,primers will not go off. I'm going to get some american brass ammo and try it . I have a Rossi 44mag and with Hornaday ammo 1 inch groups at 100 yards . I called Rossi help line and they said it won't shoot military ammo I guess a new heavy hammer spring would improve it. A 7.62 that doesn't shoot military ammo? Seems sacrilegious.

Were these results with an 'old complete gun' or an add on barrel to the wizzard?
