I have been using 2 50gr. Pyodex pellets in my 50cal Hunstman, switched to Triple 7 pellets. I was getting a short delay when firing Triple 7. The Hunstman has the factory breach plug with primer carriers. Would Triple 7 loose work better? I went back to the Pyodex for now. Don't know why Triple 7 doesn't put a little black on the pellet? Do they have a bevel or rounded edge on one end ? If so put that end in first. Or try the primers for muzzle loaders instead of standard shotgun primers .

I have experienced hangfires with 777 pellets if theyare exposed to the slightest bit of moisture. Loose 777 or Blackhorn solved the problem.

i looked at sum t7 ive had in a locker for awhile, loose powder, it showed sum clumping. real black powder in same locker was fine.

My son is shooting two (2) 777 pellets in a 50 cal huntsman with the banned site breech plug and 209 fed primer. No hangfire and good accuracy with a Harvestor 50/44 crush rib sabot and a 300 grain Sierra 0.4295" jacketed bullet. Never tried the 777 pellets with the factory plug and carriers.

The "black" (powder) that Pyrodex uses to assist in ignition, would make T7 dirtier, which was the selling point (cleaner) for T7, when it came out.
+1 on what bb said. If your going to use T7 pellets get the banned site plug, for better ignition.

The OEM breech plug is not reliable with Triple Se7en Pellets. There are other options that will make it reliable. The OEM plug will work reliably with Triple Se7en LOOSE, but not Blackhorn 209.
If they would have designed a better breech plug from the get go, these rifles would be as popular as any other, and still in production.

I got the banned site breach plug and the T7 pellets work fine now. When I dry fired a couple of primers I could tell the difference in the fire that came out of the barrel. Problem solved!!! Zeak
