Haveing heard about Rossi dropping (like H&R/NEF) the .357 Mag (and maybe the .44 Mag?) from their line-ups, I think I know why..... all the Max/.444 conversions going on :( . As a shooter/hunter I like the .357 Max. I even had a dandy Ubertie .357 Rolling Block that was converted to the Max. It was my number one brush/ woods bum gun and in a fit of need
I traded it off for a second-hand car that did not last two months  . I think the same $$^*^%& lawyers who told them (NEF/H&R) to take down the forums also told them to put the Kybosh to those calibers  . Because as the old saw goes.... we are in a suit-happy world.......

Yeah, makes sense. Companies always drop red-hot sellers just to spite the customer right? Maybe in the grand scheme of things they just weren't selling. Sean

From the talk on the NEF/H&R boards they were selling the barrels really well... but as soon as the purchaser had them they it rechambered to a round with a bigger powder charge (IE the .357Max etc.)

My experience with the boards you mentioned is that there was a lot of talk. Sean
