Hi Guys,

I was all set to order a 375 H&H barrel for my Encore and all was
right in the world. Like a fool I stopped by the gun shop and there
was a Ruger #1 in 375 H&H. It is stainless with a black laminate stock.
It is so pretty I did not want to put it down.

The #1 cost more than three times what the Encore barrel would cost.
But I love it! No sleep for me tonight! I will be fighting with myself on
this one.

I had a #1 in 375 H&H and it was a blast to shoot.  I even used it one year on a buck that tried to run me over while he was chasing a doe.  I had a Stainless Contender in 7mm-08 and really like it but there was no way I would ever think about firing it with a 375 H&H barrel on it.  My 375 is gone now but I still have my #1 in 45-70.  I will put my vote in for you getting the Ruger in 375 and get something like a 257AI barrel for your Encore.
