Title: Information On The 6.5mm......
Post by: Lawdog on January 23, 2005, 11:02:51 AM
I'm looking for anyone that owns/has owned/shoots a 6.5-.300 Weatherby.  Any pitfalls to be aware of?  Pros/Cons on this cartridge for use in 1,000 yard events?  I know at one time it was used and actually set a record that stood for a short period of time.  Lawdog

Lawdog, the 6.5/300wby is a favorite of the longrange deer hunters in Penna. I have A 7mm/300wby but I don't have a 6.5/300wby but it is considered a good cartridge. Ask this question on www.wildcatshooting.com there are people over there that know about this cartridge
