Post by: hylander on April 06, 2005, 12:37:21 PM
I have a chance to purchase a Blued 4 5/8" BlackHawk .357 3 Screw.
Made around 1967.
Looks like it was shot very little, Everything seems tight.

Blue 95%
Barrel to Cyl. gap .006
Bore .358-.359
Throats .359-.360
Timing looks good

What is a fair Price

If everything including the grips are original, I would say between $275 and $350, depending on condition. The box can add a little more value to this. During that period walnut was used as a grip material and Goncalo Alvez was used later in production. It should be an XR3 Red grip frame too. I usually look Rugers over real good since the parts can be swapped. It should also have a steel ejector housing too.
