Title: Browning 1885 Trigger Fix
Post by: simbo on May 14, 2005, 03:32:17 AM
I recently purchased a Browning 1885 Traditional Hunter in 45-70. A few years back Dale53-Blackwater wrote of a trigger fix that adjusts the trigger pull down to 2-2 1/2 pounds.

Can someone help me locate this individual-email address?

The screw fix sounds pretty simple. He states he has a machinist that is making them.

Any help would be appreciated.

I've have had the J&B adjuster on my Browning for the last couple of years. With about 8,000 rds with the J&B adjuster. It works fine and has so far held the beginning adjustment. My trigger is down to a little less then 2lb. I was going to use the Dale53 approach but decided not to because if any adjustment is need to the screw the stock must be removed and that's a pain in the a##. Good luck with you new shooter.
