barrel for my hunting ar 15?

starting my ar build and am curious on what barrel size would be best for hunting with 55 grain bullets with shot inside 300 yds?Thought  of going bull 20",but could save money on shorter non bull versions if I could get good acciracy within  300yds.Thanks for yalls help.Have posted many questions on this forum and have had great responses,you guys ROCK!!

My skinny barreled SP-1 shoots fine at 300 yds but, then I'm not trying to hit prairie dogs either.
Whatcha planning on hunting? A 223 is not a 300 yd deer gun either.
