ouch!

shootin buddy lucked into about 25 lbs of sheet lead from an x-ray room or something.  stuff is about a 16th inch thick.   Well he used his 45 cal wad punch and cut a lot of 45 cal discs out of the sheet lead.   Well he loaded about 9 of those discs in each chamber of his cap and ball, remington repro.

Not much of a group at 50 feet, but all them little lead "frisbes" spinning around slicing holes in stuff.  Yikes.

WOW!!! I have a bit of that stuff and never thought of using it that way...it may be something to play around with one of these days. Thanks for the idea.

How would it be as a small game load? Practical at all?

I wouldn't think it very practical for small game.  It really didn't group in any reliable way. On a few shots, at 50 feet,  they spread out and were off a 100 yd rifle target.  On others the lead went through the target like a bunch of key holes.
