Way to got CW, all those years sluething the flea markets paid off! You didn't pay asking price did you?

Does it have any markings?  How does it work?

No discernable markings (except a hardness marking on ONE of the bolts holding the wheels on).

Yes, $6 was the marked price.  100 or so booths of various owners in the flea market with one person running the till.  Not much chance for negotiation.

Haven't tried it yet.  Looks like one would simply slide the fire cracker down and hope the fuse goes through the hole in the cascabell.

Actually I have a couple of these myself.
You take the Cascabel off., "Its a Breech Loader" .,you then set the firecracker in place., and keeping the muzzle lifted up.,screw the breech back on. Once fired the muzzle gives a small flame.,and a good pop .,they are alot of fun.

I did notice that the cascabel was a separate piece.  Looks like a little anit-sieze compound is in order.

I have had one of these for years. Bought it as a trinket at Fort Somewhere. Untill today I never tried to screw-off the cascabel......Now I understand ! I just thought that whoever built these was crazy. Thanks, MIKE
