Franchi I-12
« on: October 16, 2006, 08:25:18 PM »
Hay all if you are looking for a new shotgun I wanted to let you know of my experience with the new Franchi I-12.  I had not known before that Benelli bought Franchi.  As it turns out, their first "new" design is an Inertia driven semi.  It is made in Italy and has a nice walnut stock.  The only difference in the action is that the recoil spring is that is in the Franchi is in the forearm and attached by an internal  transfer bar and in the Benneli it is in the buttstock.  Anyway after seeing that they are about 1/2 half the cost of a Benneli for a very very similar gun, I bought one.  It shoots great and it is amazing how clean the action is after shooting.  You may want to put it on the list to look at if you are out shopping.
