After looking to upgrade from my current T/C Black Diamond I was thinking that the barrel on my current BD was most likely the same as on the Omegas?
Both measure about the same lenght, both stainless, 1:28 twist rate, both have the QLA (very end of barrel has no rifling for about an inch) and appear identical. My BD however is not the newer "XR" extended range model.
I guess if this is the case then the only issue is the sealing of the breech plug/209 nipple, and easier to clean which I enjoy doing. Really, since I put an extension on my ratchet wrench, it only takes about one minute to fully remove all pieces including the breech plug.
Anyone know what changes were made to the Black Diamond barrels that they are now labled "XR" extened range?
