22 barrel for encore

Hey everyone, i was watching gun and ammo tv the other day and the guy was talking about the encore system.  He stated that you could get a 22 rimfire barrel all the way up to a 416.  My question is can you get a rimfire barrel for an encore rifle?  I was under the impression that you could not.

Not possible as far as I know. The Encore does not have the switchable ( center fire to rim fire) firing pin system that the Contender does. I'm afraid the TV host mispoke himself.

Nope, a .22 rimfire barrel has been in the works for some time now.  I suspect what was shown on the TV show was one of the pre-production models.  This .22 rimfire barrel will have an offset chamber/bore.  As far as I know, at this time it will be a single run of 500 barrels for a single wholesaler (JSC).  T/C may make it a production item, if they see a big enough market.  Get your orders in quick, and wait - mine has been in for about 2 months.

I believe On Target Technologies (OTT) makes a rimfire Encore barrel, and if I recall correctly, I saw some reference to a rimfire adaptor device from EABCO on their website.  Both OTT and EABCO have websites.

there are .22 rimfire barrels for the encore by people like bullberry and MGM and probably others. You have to change the fireing pin-no big job.
