Is there a source of some really "cool" aftermarket stocks like the red laminated ones seen occassionally???

H&R only has the cinnamon and camo laminates, GunstocksInc.com, a GBO sponsor, offers several different laminates. You can buy a complete RSR Hornet rifle from thegunsource.com with a straight stocked red laminate if they have any left, that's the only place I know of to get a red lam stock set.

If you like toys, I suppose they can be considered cool. Few here are impressed by them.

Tim your a tough man to please. Your right, not every one is into the that look. Some are. Yes he later said wood, but who knows, he might like the looks of it. I just put it out there cause the post was for aftermarket stocks.

Just sharing an honest opinion that may save someone some money. You're not the first and probably not the last to point them out. Most of those that have handled them here said they were toy like, not well built at all. For just a bit more money, the Choate Varmint stock is a real nice stock if you want something a little different, but very well built and with options of adjustable LOP and optional cheek rest in high or low, a removable T-rail to mount a bipod.

I looked at a set of the ATIs and felt they were a little on the light side as far as the general construction of the stock itself , now if they were to put a little more material into then they may hold up alot better .

If you were going for the Tac look in a 22LR or 17 HMR they may work , but not on anything with any real recoil . besides its more fun to make your own .
