45/70 load data
« on: October 11, 2006, 02:37:52 PM »
I just sent accurate an e-mail on there 45/70 load data on there website , there version 3.1  shows two loads using there 2230 powder with the 420 grain LFNGC cast performance bullet  load 1 states 42.2 grains giving 1646 fps with a pressure level of 27,400 then they increase 10.0 grains to 52.2 showing 1920fps and the pressure is 27,400. How can the pressure levels be the same . they used the same barrel for both data listings nothing changed. if they are correct with the 42.2 load being 27,400 i would bet the 10.0  increase  to 52.2 would be somewhere between 37,000-38,000. Its probibly a misprint. (some misprint) I'll let you know what they say when they get back to me. I want to load up these 420 grainers in my handi rifle so i hoipe they get back to me soon on this

Accurate just got back to me today and it was a misprint the correct pressure for 52.2 grains of 2230 with the CP 420 LFNGC bullet
is 37,400 psi NOT 27400
