Ohio group upland game hunt

With so many people from ohio maybe we ought to see if we could get a bird and bunny hunt together , maybe on one of the state public hunting areas .

Let me know what you all think , it would be fun and a great way to meet each other .

Dick,

That sounds like a good idea, especially if we could do it on a Sunday since I am still working on Saturdays. Hope you don't mind if I drag out my old Ithaca 37 to hunt with.

What i was thinking was some place like Big Island or Delawere state wildlife areas , both have over 5000 acres and are toward the center of the state . But am open to just about any place .

It will depend on who wants to come , so no one has to drive to far .

just let me know what you think .

I'm not sure where those areas are , I'll have to look into it . How far are you from Grand River Wildlife area ?I am about a half hour away from Grand River WA .

Would anyone be interested in a pheasant hunt on a preserve ? Might cost a few bucks but it's still fun . Most preserves have pheasants , chukar and quail .

Stimpy,

Not too sure where those places are, going to look them up on my map and see if I can find them. I was thinking there was somewhere between us north of Dayton but south of Lima, but that would only work if the western folks were the only ones to show up. Middle of the state sounds good if we can get people from all over.

Both of the places that i listed are about 1/2 to 3/4 of hour north of Columbus , between Marion and Delaware . but like i said i'm open to all ideas .

BrianM , they would be about 2 hours west of you , don't know about a preserve as i have never hunted one .

The reason i thought a state W/A was they have lots of space and we pay for them why not get our moneys worth.

There is also Dillon W/A that is east of Columbus about 3/4 of an hour , would be a haul for me buy depending on who wants to come and were they live its do-able .
