Old Huntsman Load
« on: October 26, 2006, 04:15:17 PM »
I have an old Huntsman  in .45 with 1:56" twist. Accuracy was always fair but not outstanding. I stumbled upon an  accurate load. I use Nosler 125 grain Jacket Hollow Points .357 caliber in a blue Hornady sabot with 80 grain of loose Pyrodex P grade. I get about 1 inch groups at 50 yards.  I have not yet tried 100 yards. Thes ewere the first sabots to shoot well in this gun.
