270 ultra comp
« on: October 26, 2006, 06:54:18 PM »
Was at a gun shop today and they had a 270 ultra comp used for $249. Has the green lam stock set, scope and harris bipod. Think I might take a barrel with me and see how close the frame will fit it and if I can get the price down some.  Maybe this gun needs a new home  ;D  what do you think ?

Go for it...and when you get it...shoot some Federal Fusions thru it...I sure liked the way mine would hadle them...This was shot over 2 days time..just to see...The second day I sighted it in to be right at 1-1/2" high with my Burris Ballistic Plex scope..so the rest would be dead on out to 500 yards..the 2 shots on either side were standing snap shots...Make sure you wear ear protection...they are quite loud...but...ohhh...do they shoot ;)

Well the 270 found a new home in my gun safe. My barrels fit the frame real good so that was a plus to. And I like the green and brown on the lam stock. Now I need to get some dies and brass for reloading a regular 270. Has anyone tried the 115 grn bullets for the 6.8 sps in the 270? Looks like that would be a good target round. Marv I have been working on fence on the farm a lot for all the boer goats and have not had much time to get on here. This winter I should have more time to work on the handis and see what everybody else is doing with theres on the forum.
