Flew into Boise International Airport.

Rented a car.

Drove to Mountain Home.

Spent quality time with number one son and his wonderful family.

Drove to Zion National Park in Southern Utah.

Spent a day there.

Drove to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon (or at least close).

Spent a day there (including the nature walk).

Drove to Bryce Canyon.

Spent a day there.

Drove back to Mountain Home.

Checked into motel suffering severe pain in left abdomen.

Drove to downtown Boise.

Checked into emergency room.

Poked and prodded, X-rayed, and totally embarressed. (the guy that invented hospital gowns should be shot).

Kidney stone diagnosed.

Still having severe pain in left abdomen.

Filled pain med prescription at local drugstore.

Flew back home.

Still having pain.

Uroligist confirms kidney stone.

Still having pain.

Go to hospital.

Undergo 'water impulse treatment' to break up said stone.

Begin pee'ing into handheld urinal to collect broken particals of said stone.

Pain returns.

Pee'ing ain't easy either.

Followup with uroligist next week.

Can hardly wait till next next years vacation.  Fun for all.

Never had them, stones that is had a vacation before.I do know the pain you went through as a brother has had stones for last 10 years, and in fact is going thursday for "water impulsetreatment" for the 6th time.He has new stones about every six months or so,and so much pain it even hurts to see.

Saw my dad go through them enough to know I never want any. To this day if he sees me take a rolaid he will slap me upside my head.
