Suggestions to find a used ATV.

So I've got the hots for an ATV & I've been watching EBAY & looking in the newspaper but thought I'd also ask for suggestions from the experts here. $$ is limited to about 2,500 & I need to find something within about a 200 mile radious of Tulsa, Ok. If Ok is like Texas, it is hunting season right now.  Usually when the hunting season ends the amount of used ATV's to choose from goes up a bit.  With only $2500 to spend you likely will have slim pickins until season ends...

Yea that makes sense, I'm really busy during the deer season myself so I can wait if its worthwhile.

Like Mark said, right now is absolutely the wrong time to be looking for a deal on a used atv.  A month or so after hunting season closes would be a better time to look.  Just before Christmas when folks are looking for ready cash is a good time to look also.

Look at "www.atvtraderonline.com".  Enter your zip code and distance to look and you'll see what's out there.  There's a few listed now, but prices are a little high.

Thanks guys!! I'll keep reading about all of your experiences and advice and hopefully make a good decision and smart buy. Wish they had a NADA or blue book on ATV values. Waiting sounds like it makes a lot of $$cents   Also is there a guide as to how many hours or miles is low, average & high based on its age?

Well the search is over! I bought a lightly used green 2005 Honda TRX350TE Rancher ES. It is 2WD but it will probally get me anywhere I need to go (I stay on the main WMA roads) & it only has 73 hrs. & 367 original miles.  I paid $2,650. but I COULDN'T HELP MYSELF AND I HAD TO HAVE IT NOW!!! I've had the ATV fever for too long and maybe now life can go on as usual.

I doubt it, ha.

I think you are going to like it.  I just bought a 2006 version and I don't think I will miss the 4 wheel drive feature.

 I have it in the back of my truck ready to take it out tomorrow. I feel like a kid with a new toy and I'm not going to get upset (like I might if it were new) as it does have some light scratches already. I topped it off after I drove it some today & put high octane in it, probally didn't need it but I wasn't sure how fresh the gas was. He forgot to get the owners manual when he delivered it but promised to mail it to me. Wish one was available online.
