Why such light loads?
« on: October 27, 2006, 03:57:37 AM »
I've looked at a few places that sell there own reloaded 500 S&W rounds in bulk. The loads they say are BEEFED UP are mild compared to Hornady loads in the same bullet weight. Can't you reach factory levels with reloads.I don't want mild loads, but thats all I can find in reloads.Dave.

Most loads in 350 XTP's are 1600 and factory is 1900 out of a 10" barrel.I know different barrel leaghts are going to vary VEL. but not by this much. ???

Hornady uses some powders us handloaders don't have access to :(

I believe recoil has been an issue for a lot of Handi owners.
